Our business integrity policies

CODE OF CONDUCT

Our code of conduct and supporting policies are binding for all our staff and partners. Training on this policy is mandatory. If anyone fails to meet our standards, they risk disciplinary action, and we will refer any serious contravention to the relevant professional organisations or legal authorities.

PROHIBITED TRANSACTIONS AND ANTI MONEY-LAUNDERING

We have a legal obligation to comply with all laws and donor requirements that (i) prohibit transactions with, or support for, prohibited parties; (ii) prohibit funds or property being used for the purposes of terrorism; and (iii) prohibit any transactions which would amount to dealing with criminal property. We require all our partners to comply with this policy.

FRAUD, BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION

We have a zero-tolerance approach to fraud, bribery and corruption. We provide information, guidance and training to our employees and partners on how to recognise and deal with fraud, bribery and corruption. All employees and partners must confirm their knowledge of, and adherence to, this policy.

SAFEGUARDING

We are committed to upholding the highest standards in safeguarding. Our Safeguarding Policy and accompanying procedures clearly outline what is expected of our staff and partners, and how to report any concerns.

HEALTH, SAFETY & SECURITY

We are committed to safeguarding the health, safety, security and well-being of all staff and to ensuring that they are given adequate training, support and information. We are also committed to further developing a positive safety culture where everyone is responsible for making sure health and safety are considered in the planning of all that we do.

MODERN SLAVERY

We continue to respond to the requirements of Modern Slavery legislation, including maintaining key policies and incorporating a modern slavery clause for partner contract templates. We also strive to identify areas in supply chain where there may be significant risks of forced labour, human trafficking or other forms of modern slavery.

GENDER PAY GAP

We are committed to achieving gender equity in pay. Our values as an organisation demand women and men are equally rewarded for equivalence in contribution, skills, grade and performance. We strive to support gender equity with our partners in developing countries.

TRANSPARENCY

We strive to be as open and transparent as possible by proactively sharing information and answering all requests for it. For more information, please go to our Contact page.

WHISTLEBLOWING

Our Whistleblowing Policy is intended to protect anyone who discloses concerns regarding discrimination and breach of company policy. Applicable to all staff, partners, MSMEs and the people they serve, our Whistleblowing Policy is guided by the principles of fairness, openness, transparency, protection and accountability and is highlighted during the induction for new employees.
